Ranting Raven Bakery in Seward

I love shopping here for unique gifts and cards, and I love snacking here because they have the best food! I am a local Seward resident and frequent the Ranting Raven.

Cute things in the store, lots of jewelry. My friends and I purchased a few things and when our POC (person of color) friend asked if there was a restroom he was told that there was not one. Minutes after showing my very white looking friend where the restroom was. It is 2019 and as paying customers he was profiled. Another woman heard and politely showed my friend to the restroom. Not the kind of shop I’d like to show support to. :(

Love the atmosphere and owners! Great coffee, too!! My "go to" place for gifts of all kind.

If you're looking for unique art then you should visit the Ranting Raven Gallery.Remember when they served coffee and pastries? I feel like a tradition was broken when the bakery was removed. The bakery was small and I'm sure not easy to manage, but it brought customers into the store. If you're looking for hot drinks consider visiting Sea Bean Cafe across the street. Zudy's Cafe near the Alaska SeaLife Center has cake for your sweet tooth.
